Winter Snipers is a 1:35 scale scratch built diorama, depicting two German snipers making their way across the frozen landscape of the Eastern front during World War Two.
The total footprint of this diorama is 6 1/4” by 6 3/4”, with the base being made from maple. The terrain sculpted from floral foam, then sand, soil, scaled grass and small stones affixed with glue. The figures themselves being from a model kit, then hand painted. A mixture of a few ingredients was made to create the artificial snow.

This project was done as an extra contribution to the bus shelter project. A 1:16 scale “Model Citizen”, made entirely from scratch.
Constructed from pink Insulation foam, gaps filled with putty, carved then painted. Briefcase made from insulation board.
The head and hands were molded and carved from plasticine, then painted accordingly.
For a project in the study of ergonomics. Based on a 99 percentile male I had built a fully articulating 1:5th scale mannequin. The ball joints at the shoulders and hips were fabricated from wooden dowels and metal grommets. The body parts are all made from carved MDF, then painted white.
A personal project of mine, from a small piece of spring steel I had created a miniature Japanese katana sword. The handle is made from two wooden halves, and all fittings are made from brass with the tsuba (hand guard) from aluminium. The tools used were Chisels, punches, and files in the construction.
