Grit
Survival Crank radio
With a power generating crank and solar panel, Grit is able to be used in various outdoor conditions. With having basic radio functions; AM, FM, SW, and weather broadcast, this radio is intended to be used by the everyday individual in the great outdoors while camping, or just at home.
Grit was a project in my third year of studying Industrial Design. The design brief was to develop a product made primarily from injection moulded components. An end user and particular function had to be considered. I chose a crank radio with the outdoor enthusiast in mind, the result was Grit.
